APICO 2-STROKE FESTIVAL ON TRACK FOR AUGUST EVENT

The fast-paced and ever-evolving Apico 2-Stroke Festival, featuring the Red Bull Pro-Stroke National, returns to Sellindge MX in Kent this summer with a weekend of non-stop action planned for Saturday and Sunday, the 2nd and 3rd of August.

The 2-Stroke Festival first burst onto the UK motocross scene back in 2017. It has continued to grow year-on-year with packed classes from young riders on 65cc bikes all the way through the ranks to the Pro racers who are at the top of their game.

Entries are now open for the 2025 Festival, which runs in association with the ACU to grant full British Championship status for its 2-Stroke 125, Open, Evo and Super Evo classes. Evo and Super Evo classes form part of a four-round British Championship with the first two rounds running alongside the ACU British Vet Championships at Toddington in Bedfordshire. The final two rounds will see the Evo competitors return to the home of Evo at the Apico 2-Stroke Festival.

Youth classes catering for 125, 250F, BW and SW85s as well as Over-40s Open 2-stroke will also take place.

Red Bull is once more supporting the Festival with support over the weekend for the Red Bull Pro Stroke National Clubman MX1/MX2 and Red Bull Noughties. Then, on Sunday, it’s the turn of the Pros to get stuck in and challenge for the Red Bull Pro-Stroke National with classes for Pro/Expert MX1 and MX2.

Festival promoter Dave Willet, together with Dylan Brown, the owner of Apico Factory Racing, have agreed a substantial prize fund and product deal which will deliver a host of winning opportunities to riders across all classes.

“It’s already proving to be a busy year,” said Willet. “Under the umbrella of the X-Bladez Club, we are running a six-round Mecca-X Club Championship. With two rounds already successfully done and dusted, we are supercharged for the rest of the season which, for us, culminates with the Apico 2-Stroke Festival in August. It’s always a popular fixture on the calendar and with a lot at stake for our Club members, who are in with a chance to win a 65cc, 85cc, 250 or 450 DirtStore bike, for the 2026 season, the racing is going to be incredible.”

RED BULL PRO STROKE NATIONAL GEARS UP FOR 2025

The Red Bull Pro Stroke National returns to Sellindge MX in August when it lines up alongside the 2-Stroke Festival, delivering a fast-paced and innovative action-packed programme, backed up with cash prizes.

For motocross riders, whether they be Pro/Expert or Clubmen MX1 and MX2 riders the first weekend in August is a must-do event, especially when it gets the nod of approval from Red Bull.

The event that started out as a Mecca for two-stroke racers, looking to get high on a weekend of pre-mix fumes and fun times with like-minded people, quickly evolved. And, when local Clubman four-stroke riders asked to join the party, they were welcomed with open arms.

The Red Bull Pro Stroke National is also unique in that 250 and 450 riders race together, yet are scored separately. Over the years its gained the attention of Pro riders such as Tommy Searle, Billy Bolt, Nathan Watson, Jonny Walker, Bradley Smith, Dylan Walsh, Adam Sterry and Taylor Hamil, to name but a few.

It brought the 450 debut of multi-British champ Conrad Mewse to the motocross-loving public as well as the adult race debut of Billy Askew. It is an event that continues to push the boundaries like no other. For 2025, a Red Bull Pit Bikes Knock-Out is rumoured to be in the mix … which should be interesting!

There’s little doubt that the Red Bull Pro Stroke National has emerged as a proving ground for aspirational motocross racers.

Event promoter Dave Willet said, “Myself and my team can’t wait to get this brilliant annual event underway this August. The increased support of Red Bull will make the Pro Stroke National even more attractive. We’ll have our usual huge incentives for riders which we have also continued to do with Apico for many years. This should guarantee close and exciting action for spectators.

“With the Apico 2–Stroke Festival and Red Bull Pro Stroke National we believe we have created, not just a fun meeting for all to enjoy, but something special for the racers with many incredible incentives and a pathway for amateur riders to transition to Pro!

“We look forward to seeing everyone in August.”

The 2025 Red Bull Pro Stroke National and Apico 2-Stroke Festival will take place over the weekend of the 1st to 3rd of August at Sellindge MX, Kent.
